Food Walking Tour & Cooking Class
Are these experiences suitable for people with celiac disease?
Yes. Both our gluten-free food walking tour and our gluten-free cooking class are designed with celiac safety as a priority. We carefully plan each experience to reduce cross-contamination risks and to allow guests with celiac disease to enjoy Italian food in Rome without stress.
Are these experiences only for people with celiac disease?
Not at all. They are perfect for couples, friends, and families, even when only one person is celiac. The food is selected and prepared so that non-celiac guests will not feel any difference in taste, quality, or enjoyment.
Will non-celiac guests enjoy the food?
Absolutely. All food included is authentic Italian food, carefully chosen or prepared to be gluten-free without compromising flavor. Many non-celiac guests tell us they would never guess the food was gluten-free unless we mentioned it.
Is there any risk of cross-contamination?
As with any food environment, a minimal residual risk can never be completely eliminated. Our role is to reduce that risk as much as possible through careful venue selection, clear communication, and dedicated preparation methods, allowing you to enjoy the experience with confidence and peace of mind.
What if I have additional allergies (dairy, nuts, eggs, etc.)?
Please let us know before booking or immediately after. In many cases we can adapt the experience, but we always confirm in advance to ensure safety and comfort for everyone.
Gluten-Free Food Walking Tour
Are all tasting locations gluten-free?
Yes. Every tasting stop is carefully selected. Each venue we visit is either 100% gluten-free, or a venue with a separate kitchen and dedicated gluten-free preparation, clearly separated from gluten-containing foods. We do not include generic restaurants without proper gluten-free separation.
How do you manage safety during the food tour?
We manage safety by choosing trusted gluten-free or dedicated-kitchen venues, communicating clearly with staff before each visit, and adapting tastings based on the group’s needs. At the start of the tour, we also do a short safety check to understand each guest’s sensitivity level.
Is the food tour very restrictive or “medical”?
No. The experience is designed to feel natural, relaxed, and enjoyable, not clinical or restrictive. Safety is integrated into the tour without taking away from the pleasure of discovering Rome through food.
Will the walking tour feel rushed?
No. Groups are kept small and the pace is comfortable, with time for explanations, questions, and enjoyment.
Do I need to tell you anything before the experience?
Yes. Please inform us if you have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, additional allergies or intolerances, or if you are traveling with non-celiac guests. This allows us to tailor the experience properly.
Gluten-Free Cooking Class
Is the cooking class completely gluten-free?
Yes. The cooking class takes place in a fully gluten-free environment. Only gluten-free ingredients are used. All equipment, utensils, and preparation surfaces are dedicated exclusively to gluten-free cooking. Tools are never shared with gluten-containing food, and gluten is not present during the class.
How does safety work during the cooking class?
Safety is built into every step of the class. We use dedicated gluten-free equipment, explain preparation steps clearly, and prevent cross-contamination through exclusive use of tools and surfaces. The class is educational, relaxed, and enjoyable for both celiac and non-celiac guests.
Is the cooking class suitable for non-celiac guests?
Yes. Non-celiac guests cook the same dishes, use the same ingredients, and enjoy the same experience. The result is a shared, inclusive cooking experience without compromises.
